Narrative Description of the Project

The Karmachari Sanchaya Kosh have decided to develop a complex their premises opposite the UNDP Resident Office, at Pulchowk, a prime location of Lalitpur Municipality.

Karmachari Sanchaya Kosh building complex is proposed to be constructed at Pulchok, Lalitpur. The building complex whose ground coverage is about 3300 sqm consist of three blocks, commercial, main operation and administration with entire basement facilities of 3300 sqm. The entire premises provides the total floor area of about 12500 sqm with all sort of facilities such as lift, generator, emergency ladder and fire alarm / control system etc. MULTI is responsible for structural design, contractual management including pre-qualification of contractors, bid evaluation and construction supervision.

Narrative Description of the Project

The USAID funded Irrigation Management Centre Office Building Complex proposed at Pokhara comprised of 2,250 sqm of floor area, to house more than 70 office staff. The Building Complex comprised of one administrative building with 19 rooms, one dormitory for 24 persons, one Executive Director's residence with 9 rooms, 2 fourplex quarters with 12 rooms and 2 duplex quarters with 6 rooms.

MULTI was involved in architectural planning and design, field survey, mapping and soil investigation, detailed structural designs, detailed design of engineering facilities such as electrification, sanitation, air conditioning and ventilation, landscaping, fire safety, interior decoration and furnishing. Narrative Description of the Project:

The New US Embassy Compound in Kathmandu, Nepal has approximately 2.5 hectares of land and includes a New Office Building, MSGQ, Utility Building and Perimeter Security Wall and Access Control Structures. Most of the surrounding area is residential in character and the site plan has been designed to minimize visual impacts from adjacent properties. The compound buildings at the perimeter of the site are pulled back from the perimeter wall creating a buffer between the Embassy site and adjacent residential properties. This configuration also allows most of the existing perimeter wall to be retained.

The site is layered into several zones: public access zone, private access zone, office zones and services zone. A relatively small site, the 8,000 square meter NOB was adapted from the SED by sliding its two major elements apart to fit the site while maintaining appropriate security standards. The NOB is sited in order to accommodate the addition of an annex office building at a future date. Cladding for the NOB will be stone and stucco and will be designed to reflect elements of the rich local architecture in this area. Completion of construction of the New Embassy Compound in Kathmandu, Nepal is scheduled for February 2007.

MULTI has undertaken the consultancy services for the surveys, design, drawing and preparation of bid documents for construction of buildings at different places across the country for the Secondary Crops Development Project in association with another J-V firm. Narrative Description of the Project

Chyasiline Mandap is a part of the most important historical and architectural monument of Nepal listed in the World Heritage Monuments by UNESCO in 1978. Patan Durbar is one of the most important historical and architectural components of Patan Durbar Square enclave, listed in the World Heritage Monuments by UNESCO. The residential palace of Malla kings has been restored several times during last 500 years.
